The building footprints frame three distinct outdoor spaces: the City Hall landscape and pond, the Senior Center and Community Center courtyard, and the Veteran’s Memorial Park. Vehicle and parking access for the site is provided with two entries at Milpitas Boulevard and East Calaveras Boulevard. Pedestrians also approach the Senior Center from a bus stop to the west. The site is neighbored on the north and east by retail centers and offices. The landscape design addresses pedestrian and vehicle circulation with improved way-finding, reprogramming the Senior Center courtyard for active and social uses in defined, human-scale spaces with increased shade and seating.
