Point Reyes Marconi Station Cultural Landscape Report
DESCRIPTION
The Marconi wireless stations at Point Reyes National Seashore preserve a significant and rich history of wireless communications. At the time of their creation in 1913, the Marconi Company was revolutionizing worldwide communications. A significant amount of historic resources remain including buildings, antenna systems, and surviving parts of the evolving technology – all set in a significant historic landscape. RHAA prepared (with ARG) a cultural landscape report for the Marconi Wireless transmitting and receiving stations. The cultural landscape report inventories and analyzes the historic landscape features and provides treatment recommendations to guide future management decisions about stewardship of the historic landscapes.
