Tel Aviv Mixed Use Competition
DESCRIPTION
RHAA was part of a team with Jean-Paul Viguier, S.A. Architects of Paris for the development of a new mixed use district in Tel Aviv, Israel.  The site included over 2 million square feet of new construction, including a new retail center, a transportation hub, office, civic and residential buildings.  The centerpiece of the design is an urban park and plaza which will become the link from the new development to the historic center. The RHAA concept recalls the native landscape forms and materials through ‘landscape relics’ in the plazas. The park design includes a botanical garden, amphitheater, commercial plazas and a transportation plaza.  The Viguier competition team was one of three finalists considered for the project.
