Sacred Heart School
DESCRIPTION

RHAA is working with WRNS Architects to reenvision and develop the campus landscape surrounding the new Academic Arts Building at Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton. The design will provide an enriched campus experience in support of the educational, physical, and social health for students, faculty and visitors. Functional and flexible open spaces will support adjacent building and campus programming and will provide strong indoor-outdoor campus environments, which will include formal and informal outdoor gathering areas, outdoor classrooms and gathering spaces, spaces to support the creative and performing arts, study zones, maker spaces, and fitness areas. Best practices in sustainable site design will be implemented including: stormwater management strategies, dark-sky campus lighting approaches, sustainable material selection, low-water use plant selection, and reduced landscape maintenance requirements.

QUICK FACTS
  • The landscape design creates a new pedestrian mall with an allee of trees that connects the existing main Academic building to the new Academic Arts building.
