The Mini-Wedge Park is a street-side park extending views from Ingerson Avenue out to San Francisco Bay and connecting the urban core of the Candlestick Point development with the Candlestick Point State Recreation Area and its sandy beach. Phase 1 of the Mini Wedge park is designed as a native, wet-meadow rain garden. A series of rocky basins, sculptural weirs, and corten channels convey water from surrounding streets to the in rain gardens which cleanse the water before returning to the bay. Wood bridges and observation decks provide opportunities for neighborhood connection and enjoyment of the urban and natural setting. Future phases of the park will include a playground, dog run, open green, and pedestrian and cycling paths.
