Completed in 2016, this 10-acre project has redefined campus life at Contra Costa Community College. Three new buildings, set within a series of engaging outdoor spaces, have successfully helped activate the campus core and revitalize the college. New plazas, terraced seating areas and a creek-side amphitheater support a range of outdoor events, student gatherings, outdoor dining and student collaboration. The new Student Activities Building houses food services, a Culinary Arts teaching kitchen and restaurant, a bookstore, student activity rooms, and administrative offices. A new 3 story Classroom Building provides classrooms, computer labs, a 200-seat lecture hall, and faculty offices; and the new Fireside building supports conferences and community events. The project also includes a new vehicular and pedestrian circulation including campus entry road, parking lot and drop off.
