Throughout the Candlestick Point and Hunters Point Shipyard, RHAA has worked in collaboration with the project urban design and engineering team, bringing a fl exible, layered, and sustainable approach to the site design. In particular, RHAA is working closely with BKF Engineers to develop a hybrid street-side and centralized stormwater management system. RHAA is also working with KKA signage designers to develop a public realm signage master plan. The signage system includes a variety of sign types supporting vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian wayfi nding. The sign system supports the diverse urban identity of the neighborhood and utilizes both traditional San Francisco sign types such as in-ground sidewalk street names, as well sculptural oversize 3-D signage at key gateways.
