El Cerrito’s Parks and Recreation Facilities Master Plan will shape the future of the City’s parks, open spaces, and recreation facilities, creating a framework for the future provision of services to El Cerrito’s recreation network. The scope of El Cerrito’s Parks and Recreation Facilities Master Plan includes an inventory and assessment of the community’s existing recreation system, community input gathering, exploration of potential project expansions, and priority setting. The Master Plan looks at the significant maintenance and rehabilitation needs of the City’s aging parks and recreation facilities with the intent to make the necessary repairs and upgrades so that they are sustainably maintained in the future, while also assessing community priorities in recreation and enhancement opportunities.
