Riverside National Cemetery Phase 5
DESCRIPTION

Guided by the original RHAA masterplan from 1975, Phase V of Riverside National Cemetery provides a final resting place for over 44,000 of our Nation’s Veterans. Turf covered crypt and cremain fields are arranged in militant rows and anchored by a formal allee of trees along the adjacent cortege lanes. A new lake acts as an aesthetic feature as well as irrigation for the new sections using reclaimed water. The main feature is the arched columbaria which provide private niches for reflection while maintaining an open view towards the burial fields.
