The UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Butterfly Garden is a place for children and their families to have an outdoor respite during their time at the hospital. The garden is part of UCSF’s mission to provide an atmosphere that promotes healing and well being. Families can spend time with their children in the beautiful setting designed to be secluded for privacy during very emotional times. To support the healing power of outdoor spaces RHAA provided pro bono services to redesign the garden with a flagstone seating area, timber fence, and fresh new planting.
