RHAA collaborated with BAR Architects and developer Wilson Meany on The Quimby Apartments within the San Mateo Bay Meadows redevelopment area. The building will provide outdoor courtyards programmed to meet the needs of their users. With full basement parking garages the courtyards will be entirely constructed on structure. The Quimby is geared towards a more mature crowd, and RHAA designed a serene garden broken into various outdoor rooms divided by screening hedges and trees, including a “secret” spa room, as well as other seating areas and an outdoor BBQ space.
