DESCRIPTION
RHAA designed and prepared landscape construction documents for this 190 unit residential complex in the Mission Bay development area. The project consists of 4 and 5 story residential buildings over street level office space. Adjoining the complex is the public promenade along Mission Creek Channel and a public park. The scope of work entails the design of a series of courtyards, 3 at podium level and 3 at ground level. Each podium design is similar in configuration but uses different materials and is connected to the on-grade courtyard via a series of steps. The design of the various courtyard spaces provides for a variety of uses; from a contemplative garden, to a more active space featuring a fireplace and outdoor eating area, to a lush garden area.
