RHAA worked with Architecture International and Avant Housing to design the SOMA Grand, a new 22 story building located in the burgeoning South of Market area of San Francisco.  The building is adjacent to other new construction such as the Federal building on Mission at 7th Street and a mixed-use retail/housing complex on Mission at 8th Street. The project includes a large roof deck terrace with a club house, meditation garden and large spa.  In contrast to the surrounding urban environment, the landscape concept for the terrace offers an escape and awakens the senses of residents. Special gathering spaces for outdoor entertaining as well as intimate cabanas for relaxing and solitude are provided for a variety of experiences.
