RHAA worked with the County of Marin to prepare a master plan document to guide future improvements to Paradise Beach Park. The Master Plan addressed repair and replacement of the existing sea wall structure, but also provided a conceptual plan that takes advantage of the natural setting, beautiful views of the Bay, and recreational opportunities. The Plan provides a new waterfront that allows better connections to the water by way of a ramp and overlook. The overlook can double as a classroom and provide educational and interpretive opportunities. The history of the site is expressed with a geometric layout of concrete buoys, and a photo wall of its Pacific WWII history. Other improvements included renovated picnic areas and a selected area for weddings.
