Half Moon Bay Library is located in the heart of downtown Half Moon Bay. The coastal community has an eclectic whimsical charm that is reflected in the design of the exterior spaces of the library. The design includes a children’s garden with large natural wood reading nooks, a wood and corten steel seating terrace and natural grass plantings. A second exterior courtyard serves as a special function area outside the multi-purpose room. All design features are selected to reflect the natural coastal environment with elements of the unique and unexpected interspersed.
