Berkeley Tuolumne Camp

In 2013 the City of Berkeley’s beloved Tuolumne Family Camp was completely destroyed by the massive Rim Fire. The City was determined to rebuild and started a complex effort using insurance and FEMA funding.  RHAA teamed with Siegel & Strain Architects and Provost & Pritchard civil engineers to come up with a plan that recreated the unique character of the camp while bringing the facility up to current codes and accessibility standards.  Project included a new dining hall, recreation hall, camper and staff cabins, pedestrian bridges and pathways, restorative plantings, and camp center recreation area. Families are once again enjoying the camp experience and building memories, as they have for generations. The camp is located on the South Fork of the Tuolumne River, just outside the boundary of Yosemite National Park.
