West Sacramento Riverwalk

The West Sacramento Riverfront project is a 0.7-mile-long riverfront trail and park development that connects and activates a portion of the historic Sacramento Riverfront. The design seeks to enliven the riverfront by providing gathering spaces, recreational amenities, play areas, and quiet zones for enjoying views of the Sacramento River.

RHAA has worked closely with the City of West Sacramento, Sherwood Design Engineers, and BKF Engineers on Phase 1 to develop a riverfront design that is sensitive to the river’s ecosystem and compliant with FEMA and floodplain requirements. The project is currently in the due-diligence phase.
