The landscape design for SCVMC Behavior Health building is based on an approach with comfort, safety, and therapeutic benefits in mind. The design response is integrated into the building design philosophy of creating a welcoming facility that addresses the needs of all age groups. It develops site outdoor areas with a home-like character. Art can be utilized throughout the site areas to enhance the user experience. All courtyards and gardens are designed to provide as much of a biophilic sensory experience as possible for users, enhancing the healing aspects through contact with nature.
