As part of the landscape design for the Fresno Southeast Surface Water Treatment Facility, RHAA designed a demonstration garden adjacent to the Operations Building. The garden showcases thoughtful combinations of attractive, low-water-use and native plants suitable for the City of Fresno and the surrounding region. Pathways guide visitors through labeled planting areas, providing opportunities for public education and viewing. Low-water-use irrigation is demonstrated through the use of inline emitter tubing.
The plaza adjoining the entrance to the Operations Building is designed for outdoor use by staff. It incorporates both sun and shade amenities, including seating beneath trees and a terrace for staff barbecues and gatherings. Trees also provide shade for staff and visitor parking areas.
