Sonoma Academy

RHAA worked with WRNS Architects to develop a new Grange building, Theater, and productive teaching gardens and orchard at Sonoma Academy in Santa Rosa, a renowned private college preparatory high school. The 34-acre campus is surrounded by over 1,000 acres of preserved open space at the foot of Taylor Mountain. The new Grange building program includes a flexible indoor-outdoor cafeteria space, maker spaces, and administration offices. The building is a LEED project, a certified Living Building Challenge, and a pilot International WELL Building Institute project. The project has an ecologically designed landscape and green roof and includes productive edible gardens to support learning and health.
