Sutter Health Outdoor Patio Healing Garden

RHAA was contracted to design a small outdoor café patio for the Oakland Sutter Summit Hospital. Located adjacent to the hospital cafeteria, the space was formerly a facilities yard now being transformed into an outdoor respite for staff and users to relax and gather. RHAA was responsible for developing multiple design concepts for the patio, as well as preparing a design package to support donor engagement and funding opportunities.

The scope included a light construction document (CD) package, and RHAA has been collaborating closely with the contractor in a design-build–like process. The project is currently under construction, and RHAA is providing construction administration support.
