RHAA worked with the County of Marin to prepare a Master Plan document to guide future improvements to Paradise Beach Park. The Master Plan addresses the repair and replacement of the existing seawall structure while also providing a conceptual framework that takes advantage of the site’s natural setting, expansive views of the Bay, and recreational opportunities.
The plan introduces a new waterfront experience that improves access to the water through a ramp and overlook. The overlook is designed to function as both a viewing platform and an outdoor classroom, supporting educational and interpretive opportunities. The site’s history is expressed through a geometric arrangement of concrete buoys and a photo wall interpreting its World War II Pacific history.
Additional improvements include renovated picnic areas and a designated area for weddings. In addition to design concepts, the Master Plan document outlines grant funding opportunities and strategies, and summarizes potential environmental considerations and permitting requirements specific to the project.
